Resinall Corp Announces Construction of a Hydrogenated Hydrocarbon Resin Unit
Resinall Corp announces plans to enter a new product area by constructing a hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin unit at its Hattiesburg, Mississippi manufacturing site. The new unit will produce low molecular weight, thermoplastic resins which exhibit broad elastomer and plastic compatibility. They are suitable for use as tackifiers in hot melt and pressure sensitive adhesives requiring very low color, exceptional thermal stability and low odor. The facility will use a modular design to facilitate increases in capacity and keep pace with market growth and product demand. Phase I is targeted for completion and startup in 2012 and will be capable of producing multiple resin grades. Products will be available in both solid and molten form.
“With our proven strengths in hydrocarbon resin synthesis and manufacturing along with the projected market growth for pressure sensitive adhesives, the decision was obvious,” says Lee Godina, Executive Vice President.
